"OFF THE ORDER"

Our elevator in our building has been acting funny lately. You get in, push the button where you want to go, then you wait. . . . and wait . . . . and wait . . . .and wait. You think you're not moving and your next thought is "OHMYGOD!! I'M STUCK IN THE ELEVATOR" So, you press the "STOP" button - the alarm sounds for a moment, then the doors open and, voila, you have made it to the floor you wanted to get to (or sometimes the floor just before it).

We called the landlady and told her voicemail about the problem. Josh saw her later in the day and she said "It working now. If happen again, you tell me."

I get home from work yesterday, and walk through the front door of our building, go up to the elevator to push the button, and see the following sign taped to the elevator door:

"OFFTHE ORDER"

Haha. Funny landlady. Does that mean it's more broken than if it were "OUT OF ORDER" or less broken?

SNOW AND MY BIRTHDAY!!!

I thought that never the two shall meet, but lucky me! I get snow on my birthday!!. Ok, so it's not the stuff that coats everything and you can't move or drive anywhere, but still, it is snow. It doesn't usually snow in March in Vancouver, but when it does, it usually snows before my birthday, and then is all melted away before the actual day. I like to think it's Mother Nature's birthday present to me. =)
