Here fishy fishy!

Josh and I now own 6 fish! On saturday we bought 2 Neon Tetras, 2 Dragon Head Guppies and 1 Bala Shark (not really a shark but looks scarily like one). Throughout the day, all seemed good. The Bala shark seemed the one to adjust the slowest to his (or her, who knows, but for now, it's a boy) surroundings. He just kept to himself at the back corner of the tank looking at his reflection, and swimming up and down still looking at his reflection. We have named him Tweeks (but sometimes Twitchy) because of how he swims around. Guess he was kinda lonely. We decided that on Sunday, we would go buy him a friend.

Then morning rolls around, and when Josh went to feed the fish he discovers the two guppies floating - dead. We took them back, and the lady at the store asked us what the PH level of our tank was. It was 7.0 - apparently too low for the guppies who were used to the 7.5 that the fish store kept their tanks. It's the luck of the draw when it comes to the resiliance of guppies. So we got two more guppies (for free!! the store guarantees that their fish will live for 5 days after you bring them home), one more Bala shark, and some PH stuff to lower and raise the PH as needed.

All seemed well this morning. The guppies seem to have a lot more gusto than the last pair. These ones play with the water pump, swimming up and down and playing with the current the waterfall creates. They also like to chase tetras around. It's all very funny to watch.

When looking at different types of fish on the internet, Josh and I discovered our little Bala sharks, which are about 2.5 inches long, are apparently just babies and can grow up to 12 inches long!! Yikes. Hopefully that won't be for awhile yet, and will give us enough time to save up for a bigger tank. Guess we should have done research before we bought the fish. Oh well. Can't do anything about it now. When I find good pictures of my fish, I'll post them. Yay fish!!!

So,

So, when you have stuff to dry, and then you go back to get it out, you expect it to be dry, yes? Apparently not if you live in my apartment building. We put a load in the dryer and when we went to check on it, our stuff was sitting on top of the dryer, soaking wet, and the dryer was still going. A lady down there said she saw someone take our stuff out and put her stuff in. It must have been right after we put our stuff in because of how wet it was. The girl she described sounded like the girl in the apartment next to us. Grrrrr. Totally pissed me off, using my hard to acquire loonie and quarters! The nerve of some people.

On the bright side, I might get my engagement ring this week. Exciting!!! We already have the wedding bands, I just need the ring I get to show off! Which brings me to another thing. My hen party. My friend is planning it, and I don't know what we're doing yet. I guess that's the point, though. Still, the suspense is killing me!!!

Anyhoo, I should probably go do . . . . something . . . Toodles!
